Founded in 2002 by Satish Bhattachan, Yak & Yeti Fashion is a family-owned business inspired by a passion for sharing Nepal's rich culture, artistry, and spiritual heritage. After moving to Southern California, Satish created Yak & Yeti Fashion to introduce Nepal's traditions to a wider audience while supporting skilled artisans and communities in Nepal and the United States. Inspired by Nepal's vibrant bohemian style, colorful textiles, and handcrafted designs, we offer unique clothing, jewelry, bags, home décor, and wellness products that blend authenticity, comfort, and individuality. Most of our products are handmade in Nepal, helping preserve traditional craftsmanship while creating meaningful employment opportunities. We are committed to fair trade, ethical sourcing, and building lasting relationships with our customers, artisans, and partners. Giving back is central to our mission. In December 2025, our GoFundMe campaign raised $13,000 to help purchase a school bus for Janagyan Niketan Secondary School in Nepal, including a $4,000 contribution from Yak & Yeti Fashion. We also support schools, orphanages, educational programs in Nepal, and charitable initiatives in the United States.
